Collective Worship
Collective Worship is an integral part of each school day, encompassing both pupil-led and adult-led sessions. On Mondays, we are privileged to welcome local church leaders—Reverend Simon or Cathy Short, our Youth Leader—who contribute to enriching our worship experience and extending our learning within the wider community.
Each half-term, our worship is centred around a specific Christian value. These values—courage, compassion, friendship, trust, respect, and perseverance—form the foundation of our school ethos and are deeply embedded in the life of our community.
Our Collective Worship takes a variety of forms, including Bible readings, parables, opportunities for quiet reflection, and prayer. A highlight of the week is our Thursday Celebratory Worship, during which families are warmly invited to join us in recognising and celebrating the achievements of our pupils.
Each week, staff select two pupils from each class who have demonstrated exceptional effort and dedication in their learning. In addition, one child per class is recognised for upholding our Three Golden Rules: Be Ready, Be Safe, Be Respectful.
Furthermore, once a month, one pupil from each class is chosen for embodying our Christian values and is honoured with the Good Shepherd Award. Recipients have their photograph displayed on our Good Shepherd board and are invited to proudly wear a badge of their choice as a symbol of their achievement.
